ISF 2025: Bamboo as Symbol of Sustainability, Resilience

Jakarta, 11 October 2025 – The Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2025 features a distinctive and meaningful visual design that incorporates bamboo as the central element. This choice not only enhances the aesthetic but also reflects the core values of sustainability and resilience championed by the event.

As a natural material that thrives across Indonesia’s diverse landscapes, bamboo is known for its rapid growth and low impact on soil health, making it a powerful symbol of sustainability. Additionally, its strength and flexibility embody resilience, the ability to endure and adapt in response to changing conditions.

“We chose bamboo because it grows quickly, has a low carbon footprint, and is incredibly versatile. These qualities align with ISF’s philosophy. We envision Indonesia and the world growing rapidly, resiliently, and sustainably,” stated Rachmat Kaimuddin, Deputy for Basic Infrastructure Coordination at the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development.

Through this visual representation, ISF calls on all stakeholders to move beyond ideas and dialogue, and to take collective action toward real change for the planet and future generations. Under the overarching theme “Investing in a Resilient, Sustainable, and Prosperous World,” ISF 2025 reaffirms Indonesia’s commitment to development that prioritizes sustainability, innovation, and collaboration. This commitment mirrors bamboo’s quality: it stands tall, is flexible, and continues to provide life. (*)
