During his interview with Global FDI Reports, Chairman of BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia has expressed Indonesian government intention to make the country a leader in producing battery.
He then mentioned the abundant natural resources such as nickel, cobalt, and manganese available to support the industry which makes him believe that the opportunity will be available for Indonesia to attract investment and build battery production facility in the country.
With the emergence of green economy era projected in the future, it is up to Indonesia to welcome and facilitate upcoming FDI in the sector and lead the global production of sustainable battery. In the interview, he also discussed the floating solar farm project and cooperation in Halal tourism sector with UAE, and Indonesia’s participation in the World Expo Dubai.
