Business Licensing Services Running Normally, Ministry of Investment Remains Cautious

Jakarta, July 1 2024 – Business licensing service through Online Single Submission (OSS) has been confirmed to remain safe to serve business actors. The Ministry of Investment/Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) has conducted periodic evaluations of public services under Ministry of Investment/BKPM including OSS and Contact Center. Nevertheless, the Ministry of Investment/BKPM remains cautious for any disruptions that may occur.

Tina Talisa, Special Staff for the Minister ensures that the services in the Ministry of Investment/BKPM remain secure, particularly regarding the OSS system which directly interacts with business actors.

“Here, we conduct consistent supervision and checks to ensure licensing process and services provided to business actors remain optimal. Nevertheless, we remain cautious for any disruptions that may occur to our running system,” said Tina.

The issuing process of Business Identification Number (NIB) through OSS system still operates normally following the disruption to the National Data Center (PDN). The Ministry of Investment/BKPM Contact Center has not reported any complaints from business actors regarding business licensing process. 

“OSS Service keeps on working normally since last week. However, our team keeps on guard to confirm no potential disruptions that may occur in the future,” Tina added

According to data from the Ministry of Investment/BKPM, from January 1 to June 30, 2024, a total of 2,404,297 NIB were issued through the OSS system, with an average of 13,210 per day. The monthly averages were as follows: January - 8,263 NIB; February - 11,802 NIB; March - 19,924 NIB; April - 16,375 NIB; May - 13,683 NIB; and June - 9,094 NIB.
