Indonesia’s Premier Eco-Tourism Destination
Likupang Special Economic Zone (SEZ) supports UN (United Nations) SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) by balancing sustainability in all aspect cultural, nature, people and economy. For the purpose of preserving its natural beauty, bio conservation will be of paramount importance achieved by zero waste management practices and a circular resource economy.
With the aim to advance the blue economy in the province, we will strike a harmonious balance between community empowerment, local economy revitalization and eco-conscious tourism. It will be the first SEZ in the province pioneering the concept of an international resort conservatory and marine park. The development will embody key elements of the world’s most iconic destinations, namely the tranquil purity of Maldives, the carefree spirit of Ibiza, the reverential aura of Bali and the lush biodiversity of the archipelago.
The Likupang SEZ has advantages in the resort-themed tourism sector and cultural tourism which is supported by the various beauties offered by the beach and the Wallace Conservation Center. Not only is it designated as a Special Economic Zone, the tourism potential offered by Likupang has also made it one of the Super Priority Tourist Destinations in Indonesia.
